Wildebeest Migration
(Calving Season) and Cultural Safari

9 DAYS / 8 NIGHTS

Experience some of wildest parks in Tanzania on this wildebeest Migration calving season. Start with a scenic drive in your 4×4 Land Cruiser exploring Tarangire National Park, known for its large population of elephant, baobab trees and different types of vegetation zones. Experience and enjoy the stunning view of Great Rift Valley at Lake Manyara National Park. Then travel to Lake Eyasi for cultural experience to the Bushmen and Datoga tribes. Proceed to Ndutu area, the southern Serengeti for a chance to see Wildebeest Migration calving season and different kinds of predators.

The wildebeest spend the rain season from December to March in the southern Serengeti volcanic open plains west of Ngorongoro crater where the grass growth is most productive and have high nutrient contents. It is here where the wildebeest calves are born but wildebeest calving season is short and the predators cannot make a dent in the new-born with such a sudden surge of food. Finish up in the fabled Ngorongoro Crater – A UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE. This legendary crater has been likened to “Noah’s Ark” for its concentration of all different kinds of wildlife.
