Great Migration River Crossing

8 DAYS / 7 NIGHTS

This fantastic fly in holiday focuses on the Great migration river crossing which happens from July to October, normally moves north and wandering through Lobo and the Wogakuria area ready to cross the Mara River to Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Reserve. During this time the wildebeest and some zebra herds are spread out over the northern Serengeti National Park and Masai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya. Sometimes large herds of wildebeest remain behind in the area and weather changes may sometimes bring the herds back into the area from Masai Mara. This is the perfect time to experience the river crossings and if lucky enough you can witness the hungry crocodiles playing their part to attack the wildebeests.

Please remember that finding a crossing is very challenging and somehow a matter of luck. Sometimes the herds can be seen next to the river ready to cross but then takes long to make a cross or even decide to cross couple of days later. The great wildebeest migration is rated as one of the world’s most spectacular natural event – every year over a million wildebeest, zebra, and some antelopes migrate in the Serengeti – Masai Mara ecosystem You’ll have opportunities to catch thrilling game actions or perhaps even witness a river crossing, as the wildebeests and zebras endeavor one of the most difficult part of their migration journey. Serengeti is spectacular national park offers amazing wildlife viewing opportunities and it’s highly likely that you’ll see different varieties of wildlife including lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, the endangered rhinos, impalas, gazelles, hippos and more than 500 different species of birds.
